Something Like This (Tiles 1 - 64)

‘Something Like This (Tiles 1-64)’ is the title for a series of 4 installation scenes composed of 16 A3 tiles each, accompanied by a selection of objects. Tiles 1-64 are reconfigured to fit different space requirements/ environments, celebrating the materiality and physical fragmentation of images.
Viewers engage with printed objects to life scale but the 2-Dimensional A3 tiles are distorted, facilitating a dream-like atmosphere. All 4 scenes continue to develop and undergo reconfiguration by both artists in playful collaborative experimentation. The layered image becomes an object with an outside surface and an inside ‘flesh’.Low-fi image re-production methods are embraced to allow for continued fast-paced playful experimentation and a wider variety of outcomes, placing greater value on extended collaborative process and dialogue.
Tiles 1-16 were shown at Southwark Park Gallery in the show:’Archipelago.’ Tiles 17-64 will join this piece in a duo show at M2 gallery in early 2027
