Flatten Crosscheck and Report

2026 Isabella Lozano Flumignan and Alma Stritt

‘Flatten Crosscheck and Report’
is a collaborative wall installation developed for the 2026 ASDFASDFASDF COLLECTIVE group show ‘A System At Scale’ (Three Rooms Gallery, Walthamstow). The piece was adapted as a digital image composed of stitched-together scans taken using a portable scanner. The form of the work displayed was a 200 x 150 vinyl print of the stiched togther installation scans onto repurposed advertising foam board. The print was broken down again into separated strips and then mounted individually on the gallery wall. The three-dimensional profile of the mounted print allowed for the placement of a selection of objects including a corroded SD card, CD ROM drive and portable-scanner software CD.

‘Flatten Crosscheck and Report’ addresses both micro and macro scales, as relating to images and objects, but also deals with imagery relating to systems of public order (signage, notices) and hidden systems such as circuit boards and boiler cupboards. Overlaid are A4 images of screens of the RGB cells in screens, digital prints and debris taken using a digital microscope at 70x enlargement. On installation a number of gallery ‘systems’ and features were further integrated into the shape of the work - including a doorway, light switch, plug socket and corner.

“The work addresses the chaos and absurdity that can emerge when multiple systems of imposed order overlap and are serendipitously disrupted by human interference within the public sphere”
